START MENU ANIMATION IN WINDOWS 8

We all are bored with see boring start menu in windows 8.It simply display when we press windows key or start menu button.

But now we add animation in start menu.It display like following.

To do this we have to changes in registry.

1. So go to run and type “regedit”(without double quote).

2. Then locate the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\Grid

3. In right-side pane, create a new DWORD VALUE with following name

Launcher_SessionLoginAnimation_OnShow

4. Set its value to 1.

5. You are done. Refresh(F5) your registry and if this not work then restart it.

If you are not familiar with registry then don’t do this .TRY IT YOUR OWN RISK

You can customize animation via adding following key (OPTIONAL):

Launcher_SessionLogin_Icon_Offset - You can create this DWORD to set the offset foruserpicture shown at Start Screen. You can set its value to 1000.

Launcher_SessionLogin_IconText_Offset - You can create this DWORD to set the offset for user name shown at Start Screen. You can set its value to 2000.

Launcher_SessionLogin_IndividualTower_Offset - You can create this DWORD to control the "far" left corner of Start Screen from where Tiles will fly during animation. You can set its value to1000.

Launcher_SessionLogin_Tower_Offset - You can create this DWORD to control the right position from where Tiles slides to their regular positions. You can set its value to 100.

Disable Windows 8 Screenlock without gpedit.msc

Lock Screen is good for windows 8 mobile.But it not required in pc's and laptop.We put mobile in pocket so it(Lock screen) protect from doing unknown things.

But in pc and laptop we don't required so we can disable that.

To do that we have to perform following steps:

1)Open Registry Editor

2)Go to Following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization

3) If Personalization is not available then create that key.(Skip this step if available)

4)Now open Personalization and right click on it then Select New->DWORD (32-bit) value.

5)Give name it as NoLockScreen.

6) Double Click on NoLockScreen and enter in Value Data field.

Now press F5 in registry editor and then press Window key+L.You can't see lock screen now.

If it doesn' work then restart your computer.

Step 1 : Open Windows Explorer and create a new folder

Create the folder anywhere. For ease of use, I created mine in the Root directory/folder.

NOTE: Creating the folder on the Desktop might or might not work. The feedback seems to vary, so you'll just have to experiment with it.

Step 2 : Rename the folder by pasting the name below exactly as it appears:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

NOTE: You can name it whatever you want (within reason), I just use "GodMode" in this example.
